How strong is your ego?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 10, 2007:
Yegads! This is an important topic in Buddhism. The ego develops many protective layers, and the worst one is that of spirituality. I am no exclusion to this form of mask.
The tricky part of letting go the ego, or dealing with it, is being able to respond properly when it is made evident, ususally by someone else. Denial is a good hallmark of the ego talking, at least in my experience.
How strong? Too strong by far. But I have plenty of time to wear it away.
