You, you
and your story of
what you live,
what you learn,
how you
pass it on.
The quilt of earth
is made up
of billions
of threads
and patterns.
Your amazing story
of how you
got to Tornto, or Africa
why you teach,
or your
life as a
single mom,
an islander,
or a cop.
Is not
our human
experience
wondrous,
and only
separated by
six degrees?
Yet here I am
thousands of miles
from you,
and this morning
with my words
I reach out
and place a
smile
on your heart.
