What is happiness?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 30, 2008:
HAPPINESS IS NOT A WARM GUN.
Free from wanting,
Grasping,
Identifying
Myself
By what I have, do,
Write, say,
How I vote
Or pray.
I am
I am a being
In that state
Of being
Of being free
Then I have happiness,
A contented, pleasurable,
Satisfaction
That cannot be taken
By the weather, or
Who lost what game,
Or corruption, vanity,
Or what they have,
Do, write, say,
Or how they
Vote or pray.
I sip of this fine amrita.
