Why look within?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 23, 2009:
Why ask why?
Or if that sounds too muck
like a beer commercial,
why not?
What answer lies without?
Can you give me
something you
do not have?
Will you gain anything
you can take with you
when you leave
by looking without?
Your career? Your
young stud
or trophy wife?
Your dog?
Wealth?
Your boat or
car?
Your house, books,
guns, cds, art, stamp
or coin collection.
Will you be buried with
this "stuff" so
future generations will
find what you amassed
and left behind?
Yet if you look within,
there you will
find many things
that cannot be
takewn away,
nor go away.
You will find
the true of you.
